The adjective I chose was hopeful. I decided to choose the Caliban std font because of its old-style race. With the word “hope” being larger in point size than its suffix “ful”. I kerned the spacing in the suffix “ful’ to symbolize separation. Reading from top to bottom, the suffix “ful” is slowly coming back together. I believe that this separation helps show how things may drift apart, but only hope can eventually bring it back together.
